Red Sea on the Gulf Coast

There is a replication of Red Sea redemption on the Gulf Coast. The ravaging floodwaters of hate in our world are being parted by the hand of God's love. Tragedy is revealing a surprising, indeed shocking reality of humankind--we are capable of love. The light is shining in the darkness of our world and the darkness has not overcome it (cf. John 1:5). We are extending to our neighbors the holy embrace of God's loving humankind back into life. Dear God, let it be that this might be a lasting deliverance, for all, out of the houses of bondage in our world.
